Social media has countless benefits for brands, so if you’re just getting started or already have a plan in place we’d recommend following this list of 5 cardinal rules of social media:
1. Keep It Short
Twitter limits you to 140-characters and while Facebook doesn’t we recommend about the same length on there, too! This means that you have to make every word count.
2. Consistency is Key
Find a balance between posting too often or too much. I’d recommend that you http://casinoin.us/ tweet anywhere between four and seven times per day and post least two times per day on Facebook. Listen to your fans and followers and see how often and when they are engaging with your content.
3. Be Conversational and Engaging
Your social media content should be conversational, so think of it as if you are talking to a friend. Keep your posts engaging to grab the audience’s attention and encourage them to talk back to you by asking questions, sharing photos, etc.
4. Respond to Negative and Positive Feedback
The more you engage with your fans and followers the greater the opportunity you will have to receive feedback. Keep in mind that it is important to respond back to both positive and negative feedback within a reasonable amount of time. If negative feedback comes your way, do not ignore it. Take this as a learning experience to improve. Respond as quickly as possible and help them find a resolution.
5. Give the Inside Scoop
Your audience wants to know what is going on which is why it’s called social media. Keep your followers up to date by sharing photos about what you are doing, any interesting statistics or details of upcoming events.
These are lessons proven to be effective in increasing engagement rates and fans on your page.
