New app, Shuddle, is designed to provide rides to children. Parents can download the app and book the ride in advance. The parent is then sent information about the driver. Potential drawbacks include requiring kids to have a cellphone with texting capabilities and the strict rules on bookings. The idea of a taxi service exclusively for children has concerned parents but Shuddle founder Nick Allen reassured parents that the app was designed to be a service they can count on.
